New Job Opportunities at Colab

CoLab Exeter is an award winning wellbeing and innovation hub that works in collaboration with agencies across sectors to achieve positive community outcomes around homelessness, addiction, (re)offending, and health inequality.

We are recruiting for two new roles to join our Welcome Team

FT Welcome Team Co-ordinator £22,462 (Ref: WTC 04/19) To oversee the smooth running of the Welcome Team and Atrium space at Colab; making sure that all our visitors and guests receive a warm and friendly welcome when they enter the building, supervise a team of volunteers, and maintain the space as a vibrant, informal, and inclusive meeting place.

Job Description & Person Specification WTC 04/19

PT Colab Community Connector £23,836 pro rata 30hrs per week (Ref: CCC 04/19) To actively engage with visitors who have multiple and complex needs when they arrive at Colab. To effectively listen to, signpost, and facilitate their access to support, and to connect people with services, projects, learning, volunteer, and other meaningful opportunities within Colab and the wider community.

Job Description & Person Specification CCC 04/19

We are looking for dynamic, positive people who will be proactive in creating an inclusive, welcoming and compassionate environment for all our visitors. The ideal candidates will enjoy change, thrive in a busy and dynamic environment, and will embrace a ‘can do’ approach.

Many of the people arriving at CoLab present with complex needs around housing, criminal justice rehabilitation, recovery, and mental ill-health, and they are not always certain what services they need or what support is available to them. They may have a range of multiple and complex needs, they may be in crisis, and on occasion may demonstrate challenging behaviours. Therefore candidates will ideally have experience of working with vulnerable people in a community environment and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the issues and barriers facing the people we support.

Apply with a CV and covering letter clearly identifying which role you are applying for, why you are interested in the role, and how your skills, knowledge and experience meet the job description and person specification.

Closing Date for both roles: 5pm Monday 27th May

Applications should be emailed to Amy Morgan
Interviews: 6th and 7th June
