Resilience may be an overused word - we read everywhere about how important is resilience to us as individuals, but also to our communities and in our working practices. This workshop explores what exactly it means, referencing the 6 pillars of resilience.
Resilience is not a trait that you either have or do not have; it is a set of strategies that can be learned and practiced by anyone. This one-day workshop will introduce you to the 6 pillars of resilience and explore the “resilience responses”: recovery, sustainability and personal growth.
Participants will discuss the role resilience plays in our personal and professional lives and how we are able to translate and adapt models to support our work with individuals and communities.
If this course sounds like something you would like us to deliver for you or organisation we would be delighted to discuss a bespoke provision.read more...
Connect 5 is a mental health promotion training programme developed from a unique collaboration between Public Health England (PHE), Health Education England (HEE) and Manchester University.
It is designed to increase the confidence and core skills of front line staff so that they can be more effective in having conversations about mental health and wellbeing, help people to manage mental health problems and increase their resilience and mental wellbeing through positive changes.
How is it delivered?
1 x ½ day – Introduction
2 x 1 day – Interactive, practical learning days designed to enable participants to learn the use of a range of tools including; exploring intensity questions, scaling, problem solving and thinking styles.
These can be delivered as 3 stand alone sessions but feedback does suggest that the most benefit is gained by attending all 3 sessions.
