How space is managed inside and outside the building so people can remain safe, comfortable and able to access the support they need is a constant challenge. The Alley way between CoLab and Sidwell Street is a hot spot for street drinking, anti-social behaviour and substance abuse. This makes accessing CoLab difficult for some, because it feel intimidating for other visitors. At the same time the number of our clients who gather in that spot means that there is opportunity to reach those otherwise difficult to engage.
The aim of this project is to work with a range of practitioners and the local community to redesign the Alley space and access to the Atrium so that service access, patient flow and outcomes are improved. The specific ambition is to create environments that enable communities to feel a part of their environment, value it and feel a sense of ownership and engagement.Back to projects
