CoLab Women & Brave Spaces

Project Information

CoLab Women enables and supports women towards building resilience for their futures through a gendered lens that works with what’s strong, not what’s wrong. We take a trauma-informed approach to our work, supporting women to regain their identity and to build self-esteem and confidence.

Brave Spaces is a two-year test and learn project which will support women facing multiple disadvantage, homelessness, domestic and sexual violence and abuse, and trauma.

For general enquiries, please email: colabwomen@colabexeter.org.uk or call 01392 284270.

CoLab Women’s current projects include:

Provide small grants to empower women to overcome financially stressful events such as unemployment, relationship breakdown, caring responsibilities, disability and/or emotional and physical health problems.   Supporting women both in one to one and group settings to manage their money.  NB we do not offer debt advice.

‘My Future’ Women’s Fund

Out of the Shadows

Supporting women at risk of sex working/sexual exploitation and the agencies that support them.   This is being achieved via offering one to one support for women, the provision of clinical support and  outreach opportunities, and the development of a workforce development toolkit that will equip agencies to recognise, respond and improve support to women.
